Skateboard decks FAQs

Q: What should I wear when I skate?
A: A good pair of jeans is recommended to keep your board from scratching up your legs. Many riders also insist on wearing tight-fitting clothing that enables them to do tricks without their clothing getting in the way.

Q: What are the main differences between a longboard and a regular skateboard?
A: Longboards are mainly used for transportation and speed. They are long and unsuitable for jumping tricks like kick flips.

Q: How do I do an ollie?
A: Balance your weight over the middle of the deck and place one foot on the kicktail. While popping the kicktail down to the ground (listen for the slap sound), simultaneously slides your other foot up the deck while jumping forward. If done correctly, the skateboard will leave the ground.
